A Year of Momentum at Hereth Insurance Consulting

Independent Insurance Agency Columbia MO

As we wrap up the year, we’re grateful for the trust our clients place in us, the partnerships we’ve deepened, and the growth that’s let us serve more families and businesses across Missouri and beyond. Here’s a look at what we’ve built together over the past twelve months and what you can expect from Hereth Insurance Consulting going forward.

Who We Are

Hereth Insurance Consulting is an independent insurance agency based in Columbia, Missouri. Independence matters: it means we work for you, not one carrier. Our book of business is a healthy mix of 60% Commercial Lines and 40% Personal Lines so we can support both the companies that power our communities and the people who run them.

Our core promise is simple: clear advice, strong coverage options, and responsive service. We prefer professional, straightforward communication and we document everything, so you always know where your coverage stands.

Highlights From This Year

Sustained growth and stability. Through organic growth and strategic acquisitions, our total book reached approximately $8.5 million, with year-over-year growth around 20%. For clients, that scale translates into broader market access and stronger negotiating position while maintaining the personal touch of a boutique agency.

Expanded team & capabilities.

  • We welcomed Ebonie Hereth (Account Manager) and continued developing Kyle Chandra (Commercial Lines Manager), strengthening service, onboarding, and renewal execution.
  • We formalized our internal processes around quoting, documentation, and training, ensuring consistency across both commercial and personal accounts.

More markets, more options. We’ve continued to expand our carrier and brokerage relationships so we can place complex risks and find competitive pricing. Our lineup includes widely trusted names like Progressive, Travelers, and many specialty and wholesale partners. This breadth helps with everything from straightforward home and auto to nuanced commercial packages, builders risk, monoline property, inland marine, cyber, EPLI, contractors E&O, flood, and more.

Commercial expertise and faster turnarounds. We focused on small business, package policies, and umbrella growth in Missouri. For several clients we built side-by-side proposal comparisons (think Property + GL + EPLI + E&O + Cyber + Inland Marine + Workers Comp) to make decisions easier and highlight total cost of risk rather than just premium.

Problem-solving during market shifts. When carriers adjusted appetites or exited certain segments, we moved quickly in remarketing affected accounts, clarifying endorsements, and communicating what changed (and what didn’t). Our goal: no surprises at renewal.

How We Serve (and What Makes Us Different)

Independent & consultative. We’re not tied to production quotas with a single carrier. Our job is to understand your operations, identify exposures, and present clear choices with pros/cons—not push a one-size-fits-all product.

Documentation first. Clear notes, underwriting narratives, and proposal comparisons save time and reduce errors. Whether it’s a certificate request, policy endorsement, or a multi-line remarket, we keep a clean paper trail so you always have context.

Commercial lines focus. We handle a wide range of industries—from contractors and manufacturers to property owners and professional services placing coverage such as:

  • Commercial Package (Property/GL)
  • Business Auto & Motor Carrier
  • Inland Marine/Equipment
  • Cyber Liability
  • EPLI & Contractors E&O
  • Umbrella/Excess
  • Workers Compensation
  • Flood and specialty programs

Personal lines done right. Home, auto, umbrella, collectibles, built to fit, not just to quote. We document coverage nuances, endorsements, and underwriting requirements so you understand your policies in plain English.

Meet Your Core Team

  • Jordan Hereth, Principal Agent
  • Kyle Chandra, Commercial Lines Manager
  • Ebonie Hereth, Account Manager

This trio appears on every proposal so you always know who’s responsible for your account and who to contact for service, certificates, or claims guidance.

Looking Ahead

In the coming year, we’re doubling down on three areas:

  1. Small Business & Middle Market Commercial. More packaged solutions with clear coverage comparisons and tailored endorsements.
  2. Umbrella & Excess. Helping clients right-size limits as contract values, property values, and jury awards trend upward.
  3. Process & Training. Continued investment in onboarding, appetite guides, and documentation so your experience stays consistent as we grow.

Thank You

To our clients, referral partners, and carrier underwriters: thank you for a great year. Your trust lets us do what we do best and act as a steady, informed advocate for your coverage. If you’re new here and exploring your options, we’d love to start with a simple coverage review and a conversation about your goals.

Ready to talk? Reach out to schedule a review or request a comparison proposal. We’ll bring the options—and the clarity.
